United Latino Professionals is a social networking portal designed to bring people of any age and background but of like mind together to enjoy cultural events, parties,and social gatherings. We seek primarily to expand our awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the diverse heritage of Latin American countries cultures and people. We organize a wide variety of events and activities that promote friendship and fun, many while being philanthropic and socially responsible.

We provide a welcoming environment that fosters unity, respect, and friendly interaction. Se Habla Español!

We are an engaging, energetic group of Latinos and non-Latinos who come together to enjoy an enriching cultural and social experience. 

Connect with other local Professionals to learn about, celebrate, promote, and explore the culture and people! We celebrate and wish to learn more about the different cultures, ie. languages, music and customs of Latin American  heritage while finding ways to unite in our commonalities as Latinos.

Events focus on Latin Culture but not limited to it.

*ULP Loves BRUNCH! (we are fond of dinner and happy hours too!)

Join us brunch with a Latin flare! UNLIMITED SANGRIA IS OUR THING! Lunch, dinner  happy hours, at a variety the best restaurants day/night spots throughout NYC. We change it up often to expose our group to the vast offering of Latin American Cuisine from different countries and regions. Carnitas anyone? 

*ULP LOVES MUSICA Y BAILE!

LIVE Latin Music and Dance Parties at some of the hottest venues throughout the city and Long Island. Join us for live music events with popular Latin rock, mashup, Cumbia, Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Salsa and many more bands as they make there way to our city. We seek out free or inexpensive concerts. Summerstage and concerts in the park are our favorite! We pride ourselves of being groupies of Ozomatli, Los Amigos Invisibles, Bajofondo, Fabulosos Cadilacs and many more! 

Live music and DJ dance parties, (many that inlcude dance lessons) and some of the hottest venues in NYC and Long Island  with Salsa, Tango, Bachata, Cumbia, Vallenato, Merengue and regional traditional folkloric dance, modern dance and much more. ULP usually sets the roof on fire at our events! We work with champion Salsa dancers ULP members to bring you the best! Heck we even do techno and house with a Latin flare!

* ULP LOVES FOREIGN FILMS!

And not so foreign too.  Attend Latin American and Spanish film screenings many withQ&A sessions  with actors, directors, writers. We get discounts to many of the Film Festivals that come to town. ULP also frequently gets invited to free screenings. The film industry loves us :)

*ULP Loves ARTE!

Visit museums, art galleries/exhibits, openhouses and Art shows and Expos, many with wine and cheese receptions which are always muy delicioso!) When some of the largest Art shows featuring Latin American and Spanish art from around the world, we often get free or discounted invites. 

*ULP loves LITERATURE!

Attend book releases, readings and signings with the authors. 

Attend panel discussions on various topics of interest to Latino/Hispanic people and culture featuring media contributors, writers and authors, teachers and experts. Shhh! We have the in on the talks circuit in the city. Now you have the in too! 

*ULP loves Theatre!

Join us for a journey through the Latino and Spanish theatre circuit of our beloved city! We have a wonderful relationship with Repertorio Español and get a huge discount to their award winning shows!  They sponsor our group. We will visit the Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre, Teatro Latea, Broadway and off Broadway productions! Theatre in the Park and mucho mucho mas!

*ULP loves NY and "American" and Pop Culture  and pretty much anything cool to do.

Listen even I get tired of all just Latino stuff! We will plan day trips to wineries, outdoors activities like hikes, botanical gardens, zoos, you name it someone will do it with ULP. Isn't this group awesome already??

*ULP GIVES BACK AND PAYS FORWARD!

Many of us if not all were given a helping hand at some point in our lives. We would not have achieved success without it. Many of us lacked guidance, resources and role models as children. This is your opportunity to act in a way that effects positive change!

Unite with us and give back to our communities by becoming involved through: outreach programs, education, fund-raising activities, volunteering, mentoring, and support.  Help only 1 person and you can change our world! We believe in having a great time with good people while at the same time enjoying the gratifying experience of contributing, sharing, and helping and supporting our community, society and environment locally and globally! We are especiialy fond of programs that help our youth.

At ULP we love to celebrate and appreciate the people and cultures of our world, Latin America in particular. We believe that no matter what country, ethnicity, race or culture  you ascribe to. We are ALL the same. Latinos are united and stand together whether we are Guatemalan, Colombian, Mexican, Argentinian, Peruvian, Mayan, Mapuche, Aztec or Quechua etc.! You get my drift :) We believe that together we can achieve what alone or separted we can only dream of.

ULP is a citizen of the WORLD!

In a the current rising anti-immigrant climate in the U.S.A. ULP believes that historically no human being can be illegal or an alien. Especially when it comes to Latinos and indigenous people of our countries of origin. We were here first our land stolen from under us, we were forced into poverty and slavery, forced to migrate to seek survival and now called illegals? We will stand together and unite with other organizations that educate, stand against hatred and bigotry.

* We also attend or visit non-Latino activities and venues as a group, looking to explore our great city and learn more about the diversity and cultures of the world, as we form part of a greater community of world citizens.

Spanish is spoken whenever possible. Es nuestro deseo y nuestra mision que por medio de este grupo de personas de diversos trasfondos  y de profesionales de diferentes ramas, tu puedas explorar nuestras culturas y conocer nuevos amigos con quienes podamos disfrutar de ratos buenos en una variedad grande de eventos y actividades!
